Porsche SA takes over Lamborghini SA distribution

For some time now, Lamborghini has been imported into and distributed throughout South Africa by the Imperial Group under the Imperial Collection moniker. Imperial Collection were also responsible for the distribution of Lotus and Bentley – with the rights to the latter being acquired a year or so ago by LSM Distributors. LSM Distributors – who trade more commonly under the name of Porsche Centre South Africa – have now acquired distribution rights for Italian sports car brand, Lamborghini.

Under the guidance of Toby Venter – the same Toby Venter responsible for saving Kyalami – LSM Distributors will be establishing Lamborghini showrooms in Melrose Arch in Johannesburg, Century City in Cape Town, and Umhlanga in Durban to sell the 9-strong product portfolio offered by Lamborghini.

The inclusion of Lamborghini to the LSM portfolio makes sense for the group as they already handle VW’s other premium offerings of Porsche and Bentley. Damien Percheron, area manager for Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, says, “The vast experience of LSM Distributors in the luxury car segment provides Lamborghini and their customers with a sustainable future in South Africa.”

The Lamborghini line-up in South Africa will comprise 3 models in several variants for a total line-up of 9. The Huracan will be available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive trims, as well as hard-top and coupe guises. The Performante and Performante Spyder also form part of the line-up. The Aventador S and Aventador S Roadster form the top tier of Lamborghini’s line-up, whilst the Urus SUV marks the entry to the Lamborghini range. Pricing is as follows:
