We do love the internet! It seems that after a 1-image teaser of the upcoming McLaren 650S, a series of images have leaked online from what may have been a private reveal to a select group of customers. Thankfully, one of those select few was kind enough to show them to the rest of the world.
From what we can see in the photos, the McLaren 650S is indeed a slightly modified version of the 12C supercar – lining up with our previous thoughts that the 650S would be a rival to the Ferrari 458 Speciale. While details have not been confirmed by McLaren yet, we’re expecting the 650S to feature an uprated version of the 12C’s biturbo V8, developing 480kW.
Expect the 650S to be a lightened – thanks to carbon fibre – version of the 12C with active aero technology pinched from the P1, capable of a 0-100km/h sprint of 3 seconds flat.
The official reveal of the 650S will be at the Geneva International Motor Show on Tuesday 4 March at 1PM.
