Suzuki displays 3 new global models in New Delhi:

At the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi,India, Suzuki has revealed 3 new global models in the guise of a sporty C-segment sedan, a new crossover SUV and a new A-segment hatchback.

The Concept CIAZ sedan is a C-segment concept with sporty influences in its design, which has been designed to compete in global markets such asChinaandIndia.  The sporty sedan features chrome and carbon fibre detailing and large wheels to accentuate its sporty presence.  At this stage the CIAZ remains a concept and is not confirmed for production, nor South African market.

Also on display is the SX4 S-Cross, a crossover version of Suzuki’s current SX4 offering.  The S-Cross is said to combine all-terrain talents with the usability of a hatchback, and features a raised ride height, scuff plates, and a well equipped interior specification.  The SX4 S-Cross features all-wheel drive and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The 3rd vehicle on display from Suzuki is an all-new A-segment compact hatchback in the form of the Celerio, which offers “big car characteristics” such as wide opening doors and efficient interior packaging to give the sense of roominess.  It features Suzuki’s clutchless automated manual gearbox.  The Celerio is at this stage a pertinent model, as it is earmarked for global production later this year.
